COURSE DETAILS

The required training you need to obtain a California BSIS Security Guard License. 

To get your Security Guard License (Guard Card):

  1. Complete this course,
  2. Within 48 hours receive email from instructor containing training certificate and detailed next steps
  3. Submit your Live Scan fingerprints (this is NOT included; additional $49 plus rolling fee paid directly to Live Scan agent),
  4. Create a BreEZe account,
  5. Fill out and submit BSIS guard card application online and pay application fee (this is NOT included; additional $55 fee paid directly to B.S.I.S.).

The CA Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (B.S.I.S.) requires all Security Guards be licensed in the State of California and complete an approved, 8-hour training course on “Power to Arrest” (4 hours) and “Weapons of Mass Destruction” (4 hours).
