CALIFORNIA REQUIRED COURSES - Power to Arrest & Weapons of Mass Destruction Training - 8 hours

The CA Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (B.S.I.S.) requires all Security Guards to be licensed in the State of California and complete an approved 8-hour training course on “Power to Arrest” (4 hours) and “Weapons of Mass Destruction” (4 hours).
To get your Guard Card:
1) Complete this course.
2) You will receive an email with your training certificate and details for the next steps.
3) Obtain and Submit your Live Scan fingerprints.
4) Fill out and submit the online BSIS guard card application and pay the application fee .

To keep your Guard Card current:
Complete this course, keep a printed copy of your training certificate, and provide a copy to your employer.
The CA Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (B.S.I.S.) requires all Security Guards be licensed in the State of California and complete 8 hours renewal training each year.
